points can only be determined if at least the distribution chain is
known.

System Response

The system provides default data for the sales organization and
distribution channel for the whole promotion as standard. If this data
is missing in the promotion header, you must enter values for both of
these fields so that price points can be determined.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
