This typically occurs in the context of materials management, sales and distribution, or similar modules where historical data is maintained.

    Cause:

    The error is triggered when:

    • You are trying to create or change a reference record (like a material master or pricing condition) that already has historical data associated with it.

    Solution:

To resolve the WRF_REF010 error, consider the following steps:

    3. Use Change Documents: If you need to make changes, consider using change documents or creating new records instead of modifying existing ones. This way, you can maintain the historical integrity of the data.

    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help files for specific guidelines on handling historical data for the type of record you are working with.

    5. Contact SAP Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP team for assistance. They may provide insights specific to your system configuration.

    6. Custom Development: In some cases, if the business process requires it, custom development may be necessary to handle historical data differently. This should be approached with caution and typically requires a thorough analysis and testing.
