What causes this issue?

The report RWGDS_PROCESS_ITEMS has been replaced by
RWGDS_PROCESS_ITEMS_PARALLEL, which supports parallel processing.
The catalog item notifications can be executed in parallel. You have the
option to schedule the processing periodically in the background
(daemonizing), or to stop after all orders in the worklist have been
processed (one pass processing).
The user is able to select which kind of catalog item notification needs
to be processed. The parallel processing parameters can also be set so
that the user is able to determine the distribution of orders by job.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
