What causes this issue?

The master data for forecasting the materials for the plant is entered
incorrectly. The number of historical periods and forecast periods is
zero.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Enter the forecast master data in the material master (expanded screen
for forecast/material requirements planning in the material master).
