  Cause:
  This warning message occurs in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) when you try to enter a line item with a quantity and unit of measure (UoM) but the item category or material type is configured as a service or the system expects a service item. In SAP, service items typically do not have a quantity or unit of measure in the same way as tangible goods do. If you enter a quantity/UoM for a service item or a line item that is not configured to handle quantity/UoM, the system issues this warning.
  In other words, the system expects that if you enter a quantity and unit of measure, the item must be a material (goods), not a service. Conversely, if the item is a service, quantity/UoM should not be entered or is not applicable.
