What causes this issue?

The configuration profile specified has attributes that make it
unuseable in the generation of the runtime version. The causes for this
are as follows:

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

1: 'Single-level' setting for bill of material explosion
2: The bill of material application of the configuration profile differs
from the bill of material application of the knowledge base runtime
version

System Response

The configuration profile is invalid for use in the IPC and is not
considered for generation of the knowledge base.

How to fix this error?

For 1:
Check whether you can use a configuration profile with the bill of
material explosion set to 'none' or 'multi-level'.
For 2:
Check the definition for the bill of material application in the
configuration profile.
