Cause: This error occurs in SAP when the system expects consumption intervals to be defined for a particular process (usually in the context of repetitive manufacturing or process orders), but no consumption intervals have been maintained or activated. Consumption intervals define the time periods during which components are consumed in production orders or process orders. In other words, the system tries to determine when components should be withdrawn or consumed, but since no consumption intervals are set up, it cannot proceed and throws this error. When does it occur? During order confirmation or goods issue for process or repetitive manufacturing orders. When the system tries to calculate or post component consumption but finds no valid consumption intervals. In repetitive manufacturing, consumption intervals are used to control the timing of component consumption relative to production.
