What causes this issue?

The valid-from date or period of edition 1 is newer than the valid-from
date or period of edition 2.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Exchange edition 1 and edition 2, so that edition 1 is the older
edition.
