What causes this issue?

You can only define properties for the following field names of an
entity type:
<DS:GLOS.4B054D8E63A24E75E10000000A421945>Leading entity types</>
<DS:GLOS.4B0F5A3979304E75E10000000A421945>Qualifying entity types</>
<DS:DE.USMD_RELATION>Names of the referencing relationships</>
Attributes that you entered directly as attributes for the entity type
in Customizing of the data model (subdialog <LS>Attributes</>)

System Response

The system does not save the settings.
