How To Fix USMD1239 - Data model &1: Cannot activate generated structures

What causes this issue?

The generated structures could not be activated when the table entries
of type 'USMD004C' were imported. These table entries are generated when
the settings for the Customizing activity <DS:SIMG.FMDM_USMD004>Generate
Data Model-specific Structures</> (view cluster VC_USMD004) are
transported. Possible causes:
The active data model does not contain the required entity types.
The entity types of the active data model have different settings for
the <DS:DE.USMD_USAGE_TYPE>storage and use type</> than those required.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

First, transport the active data model from the development system.
Include the relevant entries from the Customizing activity <LS>Generate
Data Model-specific Structures</> in the transport request again.
