What causes this issue?

You have attempted to assign a system to a planning area but the system
is not of the correct Release status for SEM. As a data basis for SEM,
you may only use BW installations with a Release status of 1.2B or
higher.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Select a different RFC destination.
