- Task &1: No workflow variant assigned for sign-off ?The SAP error message UCUS0071 indicates that there is no workflow variant assigned for the sign-off task in a specific process. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP Business Workflow, where a task is expected to have a defined workflow variant for processing.
Cause:
- Missing Workflow Variant: The primary cause of this error is that the workflow variant for the specified task (denoted as &1 in the error message) has not been defined or assigned in the system.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues in the configuration of the workflow or the task itself, leading to the absence of a valid workflow variant.
- Transport Issues: If the workflow was recently transported from a development environment to a production environment, the necessary variants may not have been included in the transport.
Solution:
Check Workflow Configuration:
- Go to the SAP Workflow Builder (transaction code SWDD) and check the workflow definition for the task in question.
- Ensure that a workflow variant is assigned to the task. If not, create or assign a suitable variant.
Assign Workflow Variant:
- Navigate to the relevant task in the workflow definition.
- Assign a valid workflow variant that corresponds to the sign-off process.
Review Task Settings:
- Use transaction code PFTC (Task Maintenance) to review the task settings.
- Ensure that the task is correctly configured and that a workflow variant is specified.
Transport Check:
- If the issue arose after a transport, verify that all necessary objects, including workflow variants, were included in the transport request.
- If not, you may need to manually create or adjust the workflow variant in the target system.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, test the workflow to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the sign-off process works as expected.
