  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: UCF6 - Messages for Consolidation of Investments

  • Message number: 776

  • Message text: Investee unit &1: multiple change to parent unit indicator

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have set the <ZK>Parent Unit</> indicator differently in different
periods of the current consolidation period for investee unit &V1& in
    consolidation group &V2&.
However, the system only supports <ZH>one</> change to the parent unit
indicator for each investee unit in consolidation of investments
postings. This also applies if the consolidation period for the
    financial statements encompasses multiple periods.

    System Response

The consolidation of investments processes only the first change to the
parent unit indicator for each investee unit (that is, the change in the
earliest period of the consolidation period). The system ignores any
further changes made to the parent unit indicator of the same investee
unit in the current consolidation period.

    How to fix this error?

Check the Customizing settings for accounting techniques (under <ZK>
Master Data -> Consolidation Units -> Accounting Techniques</>). Check
the settings for the parent unit indicator for consolidation unit &V1&
in all periods for the current consolidation period.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    3. Correct Parent Unit Assignment: Ensure that the investee unit is assigned to the correct parent unit. You may need to revert any incorrect changes.
    4. Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks on the master data to ensure that there are no discrepancies in the hierarchy.
