What causes this issue?

In C/I Customizing, you have not specified the investment item for scope
of reported data &V1& under Equity Method Posting.
In the equity method, this item is needed for updating the investment
book value during subsequent consolidations. The item should be a
balance sheet item.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
