Message text: & version in database (&) > version in file (&)
The object to be imported has an older version than the object that
already exists in the database. This problem can occur only when the
import of individual transport requests has been carried out earlier.
The problem cannot occur when the import sequence is determined by the
transport control.
The object has been imported anyway.
Check whether the object in the target system has the version that you
need. If not, you have to transport the object once more.

TW105
- & version in database (&) > version in file (&) ?The SAP error message TW105, which states "Version in database (&) > version in file (&)", typically occurs during a transport process when there is a mismatch between the version of an object in the database and the version of the object in the transport file. This can happen during the import of a transport request.
Cause:
- Version Mismatch: The object in the database has been modified after the transport request was created, leading to a situation where the database version is newer than the version in the transport file.
- Transport Request Issues: The transport request may not have been properly released or may have been modified after it was created.
- Concurrent Changes: Changes made directly in the production system or other environments after the transport request was created can lead to this error.
Solution:
Check Object Versions: Verify the version of the object in the database and compare it with the version in the transport request. You can do this using transaction codes like SE03 (Transport Organizer Tools) or SE09/SE10 (Transport Organizer).
Recreate the Transport Request: If the object in the database has been modified, you may need to recreate the transport request to include the latest version of the object. This involves:
- Making the necessary changes in the development environment.
- Creating a new transport request for the updated object.
- Releasing the new transport request and importing it into the target system.
Use the Correct Transport: Ensure that you are using the correct transport request that corresponds to the latest version of the object.
Manual Adjustment: In some cases, if the changes are minor and you are sure about the integrity of the changes, you might consider manually adjusting the object in the target system to match the version in the database.
Consult SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that might provide additional guidance or solutions specific to your version of SAP.
