  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have received this message after being prompted to enter the path
of a required file at operating system level. You are only required to
enter an input file when the selection set "Tables by table list" or
"Tables by domain list" is selected.
However, you are asked not to make this selection until prompted to do
so by SAP (for example, as part of an upgrade, etc.), since the
external files required are only delivered with the delivery data.
Otherwise, only use the option "All tables" to determine the volumes of
all tables (except the substitution tables).

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

If there are reasons for using one of the two above options and the
relevant SAP files are available (as part of the upgrade data or with
sapserv, for example), the reasons for this message may be as follows:
The prompt to enter the path was terminated with "Cancel"
An appropriate input value was not found (for example, empty input)
The specified file could not be opened

    System Response

The selection for "Analysis selection set" was automatically set to the
value "All tables". The initial screen is displayed.

    How to fix this error?

    If necessary, correct your entry.
Check whether the specified file is available under the path shown and
make sure that the appropriate read authorizations are set.
If the file does not exist, do the following:
Make the file available under the specified path, if possible.
If the file required is not available, please choose another selection
    set.
"All tables" is the standard selection and does not require an external
    file.
