What causes this issue?

You have set the indicator for using a template transaction, but you
have not specified which transaction should be the template.

How to fix this error?

Enter the number of a category 8 (sample) template transaction, or use
the input help.
Alternatively, you can deselect the <LS>Use Template</> indicator if you
do not want to use a template when creating the master data for generic
transactions.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
