  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message TD598 - Page &1 window &2&3: Window is too high for page format &4 ?

The SAP error message TD598 indicates that there is a problem with the layout of a window in a Smart Form or SAPscript. Specifically, it means that the height of a window exceeds the height allowed for the specified page format. This can occur when designing forms that need to fit within certain dimensions, such as A4 or Letter size.

    Cause:

The error is caused by one of the following:

    1. The height of the window defined in the Smart Form or SAPscript exceeds the maximum height allowed for the selected page format.
    2. The positioning of the window may be set incorrectly, causing it to extend beyond the printable area of the page.
    3. The page format settings may not match the intended design specifications.

    Solution:

To resolve the TD598 error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Window Height:

      • Open the Smart Form or SAPscript where the error occurs.
      • Check the height of the window that is causing the issue. Ensure that it does not exceed the maximum height for the selected page format.
    2. Adjust Window Size:

      • If the window height is too large, reduce its height to fit within the page format. You can do this by selecting the window and adjusting its properties in the layout editor.
    3. Review Page Format:

      • Verify that the correct page format is selected for your Smart Form or SAPscript. If you are using a custom page format, ensure that it is defined correctly and that the dimensions are appropriate for your design.
    4. Check Positioning:

      • Ensure that the window is positioned correctly on the page. If it is too close to the bottom of the page, it may exceed the printable area.
    5. Test Changes:

      • After making adjustments, save your changes and test the form to ensure that the error no longer occurs.

    Related Information:

    • Page Formats: Common page formats include A4, Letter, and custom formats. Each format has specific dimensions that must be adhered to.
