SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: T5 - SAPphone: Messages for telephony

  • Message number: 128

  • Message text: &1 does not have authorization to execute task &2 specified in template

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

In the template from which the user was created, task &v2& is
configured to start directly for inbound calls. However, user &v1& does
not have authorization to execute this task. If this task is entered
for this user, the task, in the case of an inbound call, will remain as
a work item with status 'Ready' and without a valid user.

    System Response

To prevent this from occurring, the settings for the user are being
created so that the caller data is displayed for inbound calls and all
tasks that the user is authorized to execute are presented for
    selection.

    Procedure for System Administrators

You can enter the user as a possible agent for the task and assign this
task or other tasks (for which the user has authorization) to the user
    in the user settings.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message T5128 - &1 does not have authorization to execute task &2 specified in template ?

The SAP error message T5128 indicates that a user does not have the necessary authorization to execute a specific task defined in a template. This error typically arises in the context of SAP's authorization management, where users are assigned roles and permissions that dictate what actions they can perform within the system.

    Cause:

    1. Missing Authorization: The user lacks the required authorization object or permission to execute the specified task.
    2. Role Assignment: The user may not have been assigned the appropriate role that includes the necessary authorizations.
    3. Authorization Object: The authorization object related to the task may not be correctly configured or may not include the user.
    4. Profile Issues: The user’s profile may not be updated or may not include the necessary permissions.

    Solution:

    1. Check User Roles:

      • Go to transaction code SU01 (User Maintenance) and enter the user ID.
      • Check the roles assigned to the user and ensure that the role containing the necessary authorizations for the task is included.
    2. Review Authorization Objects:

      • Use transaction code SU53 immediately after the error occurs to see which authorization check failed. This will provide insight into what specific authorization object is missing.
      • Alternatively, you can use transaction code PFCG to review the roles and the associated authorization objects.
    3. Modify Roles:

      • If the necessary authorization is missing, you may need to modify the role using transaction PFCG to include the required authorization objects.
      • After making changes, ensure to generate the profile for the role.
    4. Testing:

      • After updating roles and authorizations, have the user log out and log back in to ensure that the changes take effect.
      • Test the task again to confirm that the error is resolved.
    5. Consult Security Team:

      • If you do not have the necessary permissions to make changes, consult your SAP security team or administrator for assistance.

    Related Information:
