Message type: E = Error
Message class: SPRX - Proxy Generation
Message number: 299
Message text: SUPPRESS_DIALOG set for transportable package but no TRANSPORT_NUMBER
Proxy background generation is called with parameter SUPPRESS_DIALOG for
transportable package &V1& but parameter TRANSPORT_NUMBER not specified.
So far, this is only a warning,
but may result in an follow-on error when during generation new objects
arise which needs to be assigned to a transport request.
With SUPPRESS_DIALOG = 'X' the popup to specify the transport request is
suppressed and consequently saving the proxy will result in an error.
For a scenario where the relevant objects
are not transport relevant
are already assigned to transport request or
nothing is saved/activated at all (check scenario)
no error will raise.
In context of mass generation specify TRANSPORT_NUMBER in selection
dialog.
For a programatic usage of background generation specify correct
parameter TRANSPORT_NUMBER or set SUPPRESS_DIALOG to SPACE.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SPRX299
- SUPPRESS_DIALOG set for transportable package but no TRANSPORT_NUMBER ?The SAP error message SPRX299 indicates that there is a configuration issue related to transport requests in the SAP system. Specifically, the message states that the SUPPRESS_DIALOG option is set for a transportable package, but there is no associated TRANSPORT_NUMBER. This typically occurs when you are trying to transport objects that are not properly linked to a transport request.
Cause:
Missing Transport Request: The most common cause is that the objects you are trying to transport are not assigned to a transport request. This can happen if the objects were created or modified in a development environment without being included in a transport request.
Incorrect Package Configuration: The package may be configured to suppress dialog messages, but since there is no transport request associated, the system cannot proceed with the transport.
Transport Layer Issues: There may be issues with the transport layer configuration in the SAP system, which can lead to problems in creating or managing transport requests.
Solution:
Check Transport Request: Ensure that the objects you are trying to transport are included in a transport request. You can do this by checking the transport request in the Transport Organizer (transaction SE09 or SE10).
Assign Objects to Transport Request: If the objects are not assigned to any transport request, you will need to create a new transport request and assign the objects to it. You can do this by using the transaction SE80 or SE11, depending on the type of objects you are working with.
Review Package Settings: If the package is set to suppress dialog messages, consider reviewing the package settings in transaction SE80. You may want to temporarily disable the suppress dialog option to see if that resolves the issue.
Check Transport Layer Configuration: Ensure that the transport layer is correctly configured in your SAP system. You can check this in transaction STMS (Transport Management System).
Consult SAP Notes: If the issue persists, check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error message. SAP Notes often provide solutions or workarounds for known issues.
