SOAP_CFG_CC036
- Configuration refers to existing Design-Time Object ?The SAP error message SOAP_CFG_CC036, which states "Configuration refers to existing Design-Time Object," typically occurs in the context of SAP Process Integration (PI) or SAP Process Orchestration (PO) when there is a mismatch or conflict between the configuration settings and the design-time objects in the system.
Cause:
- Design-Time Object Changes: The design-time objects (like interfaces, mappings, or service interfaces) may have been modified or deleted after the configuration was created, leading to inconsistencies.
- Multiple Versions: There may be multiple versions of the same design-time object, and the configuration is pointing to an outdated or incorrect version.
- Transport Issues: If the design-time objects were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), the transport might not have included all necessary objects or configurations.
- Configuration Errors: The configuration might be incorrectly set up to reference a design-time object that does not exist or is not active.
Solution:
- Check Design-Time Objects: Verify that the design-time objects referenced in the configuration exist and are active. You can do this by navigating to the relevant design-time repository in the SAP PI/PO system.
- Update Configuration: If the design-time objects have changed, update the configuration to point to the correct or new design-time objects.
- Recreate Configuration: If the configuration is corrupted or outdated, consider deleting it and recreating it from scratch, ensuring that it references the correct design-time objects.
- Transport Validation: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects were included and correctly imported.
- Check for Multiple Versions: If there are multiple versions of the design-time object, ensure that the configuration is pointing to the correct version.
- Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP PI/PO you are using for any known issues or additional troubleshooting steps.
