Message text: Restrictions apply for using currencies with six decimal places
In an SAP Oil & Gas System, you can define currencies with six decimal
places. You should check their use very carefully, as problems can
occur as soon as you exchange currencies with six decimal places with
an external system. These problems can also occur in distributed SAP
system landscapes. Currencies with six decimal places are only supported
in the context of calculating prices, such in the pricing procedures
in sales and distribution (SD) or purchasing for materials
management (MM) and for the associated conditions records.
You should never use a currency with six decimal places as your document
currency - use it only as a condition currency.
Check whether pricing with five decimal places would fulfil your
business requirements for a more exact calculation.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check whether you can work with 1.23456 USD per 10 tons (five decimal
places) instead of with 0.123456 USD per ton (six decimal places).
Check whether the function combination of the currency conversion
indicator at the level of the condition type (the currency is converted
after the multiplication) and a currency with five decimal places
meets your requirements.
