RU167
- Entering a final confirmation will set the remaining work to zero ?The SAP error message RU167, which states "Entering a final confirmation will set the remaining work to zero," typically occurs in the context of production order confirmations in SAP. This message is a warning indicating that if you proceed with the final confirmation of a production order, the system will automatically set the remaining work for that order to zero.
Cause:
- Final Confirmation: The error is triggered when a user attempts to enter a final confirmation for a production order. A final confirmation indicates that all work associated with the order has been completed.
- Remaining Work: The system is designed to set the remaining work to zero because, by confirming the order as complete, it assumes that there is no further work to be done on that order.
Solution:
- Review Work Status: Before proceeding with the final confirmation, ensure that all necessary operations and tasks have been completed. Check the status of the production order to confirm that it is indeed ready for final confirmation.
- Partial Confirmation: If there is still work to be done, consider entering a partial confirmation instead of a final confirmation. This allows you to acknowledge the work completed without closing the order completely.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to your organization's internal documentation or SAP help resources for specific procedures related to production order confirmations.
- User Training: Ensure that users involved in production order processing are trained on the implications of final confirmations and the importance of verifying the status of work before confirming.
