RSDD014
- Roll-up is running or has been terminated. It is not possible to fill. ?The SAP error message RSDD014 indicates that a roll-up process is currently running or has been terminated, which prevents the system from filling the data in the InfoCube or DataStore Object (DSO). This error typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when trying to load or process data while a roll-up operation is in progress or has failed.
Causes:
- Ongoing Roll-up Process: A roll-up operation is currently being executed, which locks the InfoCube or DSO, preventing other processes from accessing it.
- Terminated Roll-up: A previous roll-up process may have been terminated unexpectedly, leaving the system in a locked state.
- Long-running Processes: If a roll-up takes too long, it may lead to timeouts or other issues that can cause the process to be terminated.
- System Locking Issues: There may be issues with system locks that prevent the roll-up from completing successfully.
Solutions:
- Check Running Processes: Use transaction codes like
SM37
to check for any running or terminated jobs related to the roll-up. If you find a job that is stuck, you may need to terminate it.- Monitor Roll-up Status: Use transaction
RSA1
to monitor the status of roll-up processes. You can check the status of the InfoCube or DSO to see if it is locked.- Release Locks: If a roll-up has been terminated, you may need to manually release any locks that are preventing further processing. This can sometimes be done using transaction
SM12
to delete locks.- Restart Roll-up: If the roll-up process has failed, you may need to restart it after resolving any underlying issues.
- Check for Errors: Review the logs for any errors that may have occurred during the roll-up process. This can provide insights into what went wrong and how to fix it.
- System Performance: Ensure that the system has adequate resources (CPU, memory, etc.) to handle the roll-up processes efficiently. Performance issues can lead to timeouts and terminations.
