- Query result inconsistent; interim deletion performed ?The SAP error message RSDA252, which states "Query result inconsistent; interim deletion performed," typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when there is an inconsistency in the data returned by a query. This can happen for various reasons, including issues with the underlying data sources, inconsistencies in the data model, or problems with the query itself.
Causes:
- Data Inconsistency: The data in the InfoProvider may have been changed or deleted after the query was executed, leading to inconsistencies.
- Data Load Issues: If there were issues during the data load process (e.g., incomplete data loads, errors during extraction), this could lead to inconsistencies.
- Query Design: The query might be designed in a way that it references data that is no longer valid or has been modified.
- Data Source Changes: Changes in the underlying data sources (like InfoObjects or InfoProviders) can lead to inconsistencies.
- Interim Results: If interim results are being used and they are deleted or modified, this can trigger the error.
Solutions:
- Check Data Consistency: Verify the consistency of the data in the InfoProvider. You can do this by running consistency checks or reloading the data.
- Re-run Data Loads: If there were issues during the data load, try re-running the data load process to ensure that all data is correctly loaded.
- Review Query Design: Check the query design for any references to objects that may have changed or been deleted. Adjust the query as necessary.
- Clear Cache: Sometimes, clearing the cache for the query can resolve inconsistencies. You can do this by using transaction code RSRT or RSRT2.
- Check for Locks: Ensure that there are no locks on the data that could be causing the inconsistency.
- Analyze Change Logs: Review change logs to identify any recent changes that may have affected the data.
