RSBM045
- The DataStore object still has a validated change log ?The SAP error message RSBM045 indicates that a DataStore Object (DSO) still has a validated change log, which prevents certain operations from being performed on the DSO. This typically occurs when you are trying to delete or modify a DSO that has not been properly handled in terms of its change log.
Cause:
The primary cause of this error is that the DSO has a validated change log that is still active. In SAP BW (Business Warehouse), a change log is used to track changes to the data in the DSO. If the change log is validated, it means that the data has been confirmed and is not in a state that allows for certain operations, such as deletion or modification.
Solution:
To resolve the RSBM045 error, you can follow these steps:
Check the Change Log: Verify if the change log is indeed validated. You can do this by checking the DSO settings in the SAP BW system.
Delete the Change Log: If you are sure that you no longer need the change log, you can delete it. This can typically be done through the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction RSA1) by navigating to the DSO and selecting the option to delete the change log.
Activate the DSO: If you need to keep the change log but want to perform operations on the DSO, you may need to activate the DSO again. This can sometimes reset the state of the DSO and allow you to proceed with your operations.
Data Management: If the DSO is being used in a process chain or is part of a data flow, ensure that there are no ongoing processes that might be locking the DSO. You may need to wait for these processes to complete.
Consult Documentation: If you are unsure about the implications of deleting the change log or modifying the DSO, consult the SAP documentation or reach out to your SAP BW administrator for guidance.
