  • Message class: RETMCA - Terms

  • Message number: 017

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

An object can be assigned to only one term number at the most per term
category. The assignment of an object group to a term corresponds to
the assignment of all individual objects in the object group.
You want to assign object group &V1&, but an individual object in this
object group was already assigned to a term with the number &V2&.
You can identify the individual objects by their group number, &V3&.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

In order to assign all of the individual objects uniformly to one term,
first delete all assignments of the individual objects in the group.
Then assign only the object group to the term.
It is not possible for one individual object of an object group to have
a different assignment from the rest of the group. If you want
individual objects to be assigned to different terms, you cannot use an
object group for the assignment. Instead, you have to assign each
individual object explicitly to the given term.
