Message text: The sampling scheme &1 is incomplete
A sampling procedure was assigned to a characteristic in the inspection
plan that references sampling scheme &v1&.
In this sampling scheme, no entry (that is, no sampling instruction)
was found for the inspection severity &v2&, the AQL value &v3& and for
the lot size (for the population)&v4&.
Keep in mind that the population is not necessarily the same as the lot
size. The population is calculated from
the lot size
the conversion factor of the base unit of measure in the sample unit of
measure
the factor of the sample unit
Example:
Base unit of measure is kg and the sample unit of measure is gr. The
conversion factor is 1000. The factor of the sample unit is 5. As a
result the individual sample is 5 grams.
If the lot size is, for example, 20 kg, then the population to which
the sampling scheme is applied is 4000 (20 * 1000 / 5). If the
calculated population exceeds the maximum allowed value of
10,000,000,000, the maximum value is used if it is entered in the "Lot
size" column in the sampling scheme.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Maintain sampling scheme &V1&.

QD092
- The sampling scheme &1 is incomplete ?The SAP error message QD092, which states "The sampling scheme &1 is incomplete," typically occurs in the context of quality management (QM) when working with sampling schemes in inspection plans. This error indicates that the specified sampling scheme is not fully defined or is missing critical information required for its proper functioning.
Cause:
The error can arise due to several reasons:
- Incomplete Definition: The sampling scheme may not have all the necessary parameters defined, such as the sample size, acceptance criteria, or other relevant details.
- Missing Entries: There may be missing entries in the sampling scheme that are required for it to be considered complete.
- Incorrect Configuration: The sampling scheme might be incorrectly configured or linked to an inspection plan that does not meet the required criteria.
Solution:
To resolve the error QD092, you can take the following steps:
Check the Sampling Scheme:
- Go to the transaction code
QDV1
(Create Sampling Scheme) orQDV2
(Change Sampling Scheme) in SAP.- Enter the sampling scheme number indicated in the error message and check its configuration.
- Ensure that all required fields are filled out correctly, including sample size, acceptance number, and any other relevant parameters.
Review Inspection Plan:
- If the sampling scheme is linked to an inspection plan, check the inspection plan configuration to ensure it references the correct and complete sampling scheme.
- Use transaction code
QP01
(Create Inspection Plan) orQP02
(Change Inspection Plan) to review the details.Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help files for guidance on the specific requirements for sampling schemes in your version of SAP.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, test the sampling scheme by attempting to create or modify an inspection lot to see if the error persists.
Consult with SAP Support:
- If the issue remains unresolved, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting SAP Notes for any known issues related to this error.
