Message text: Status change for control cycle &1 not allowed; not all containers locked
A change in the lifecycle status of the control cycle from <LS>Locked</>
or <LS>Released</> to <LS>Ready for Release</> is only allowed if all
kanban containers in this control cycle are locked.
At least one kanban container in the control cycle is not locked. For
this reason, the status for this control cycle cannot be reset to
<LS>Ready for Release</>.
Change the status of the control cycle back to <LS>Locked</> or
<LS>Released</> and lock all kanban containers. You can then change the
status to <LS>Ready for Release</>.

PK522
- Status change for control cycle &1 not allowed; not all containers locked ?The SAP error message PK522 indicates that a status change for a control cycle is not allowed because not all containers are locked. This typically occurs in the context of production planning and control, particularly when dealing with control cycles in the SAP system.
Cause:
The error arises when you attempt to change the status of a control cycle (for example, from "active" to "inactive") while some of the containers associated with that control cycle are not locked. In SAP, locking is a mechanism used to prevent changes to data that is currently being processed or is in use. If not all containers are locked, the system prevents the status change to ensure data integrity.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:
Check Container Status: Identify which containers are not locked. You can do this by reviewing the control cycle and the associated containers in the system.
Lock the Containers: Ensure that all containers related to the control cycle are locked. This can typically be done through the relevant transaction codes or by using the appropriate functions in the SAP GUI.
Re-attempt Status Change: Once all containers are locked, try to change the status of the control cycle again.
Review User Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to lock the containers and change the status of the control cycle.
Consult Documentation: If the issue persists, refer to SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for further troubleshooting.
