Message text: Materials with RS header and reporting point backflush not allowed
You want to use a manual kanban or a run schedule quantity to procure a
material that is produced in-house. However, a repetitive manufacturing
profile has been maintained for this material in which backflushing is
only carried out for a run schedule header with reporting points. This
process cannot be combined with KANBAN as the reporting point
backflushes are not carried out with reference to a kanban.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Either assign another repetitive manufacturing profile to the material
or change the profile accordingly.
If you want to use the reporting point backflush, you can also select a
replenishment strategy with KANBAN control. Here, the system carries
out backflushing and goods movements with no reference to the kanbans.
You can then exclude the material from the planning run, but not the
storage location to which the supply area is assigned.

- Materials with RS header and reporting point backflush not allowed ?The SAP error message PK207, which states "Materials with RS header and reporting point backflush not allowed," typically occurs in the context of production planning and execution, particularly when dealing with backflushing in a production order. This error indicates that the system has encountered a configuration or data issue that prevents the backflush process from being executed for certain materials.
Cause:
Material Type Configuration: The material in question may be configured in a way that does not allow backflushing. This can happen if the material is set up with a specific type of routing or production process that does not support backflushing.
Production Order Settings: The production order may have settings that conflict with the backflush process, such as the use of a reporting point that is not compatible with the materials being used.
RS Header Configuration: The RS (Reporting Point) header may not be properly configured for the materials involved. This can include missing or incorrect settings in the material master or the production order.
Backflush Indicator: The backflush indicator for the material may not be set, or it may be set to a value that does not allow backflushing.
Solution:
Check Material Master Settings: Review the material master data for the materials involved. Ensure that the backflush indicator is set correctly and that the material type supports backflushing.
Review Production Order Configuration: Check the production order settings to ensure that they are compatible with backflushing. This includes verifying the routing and the use of reporting points.
Adjust RS Header Settings: If applicable, review the RS header settings to ensure they are correctly configured for the materials being used. This may involve adjusting the reporting point settings or ensuring that the correct materials are associated with the reporting point.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on configuring materials and production orders for backflushing.
Testing: After making any changes, test the backflush process again to ensure that the error has been resolved.
