  • What causes this issue?

The new default parameter transaction allows you to create default sets
for several materials at once. It also introduces a new activation
concept. Once a default set has been created, it has to be activated
before it is used for quantity conversion calculations. During
activation, the Quantity Conversion Interface (QCI) checks the set for
consistency. A trial quantity conversion is carried out. If a set is not
consistent, (that is, would lead to an error message within the QCI) it
cannot be activated. The parameters have to be changed so that the trial
conversion does not fail. Once a set has been activated, it can no
    longer be deleted.

    System Response

Active default sets can not be changed or deleted. The restriction that
an activated default set can no longer be deleted is necessary, because
the material documents carrying the parameters also store an identifying
GUID (globally unique identifier) for each set. This will also enable
customers in future releases to define their own parameters and maintain
default values for those parameters using the new transaction.
In comparison with the old default transactions (O3C1,O3C2), the number
of parameters per default set is not fixed, but can be defined according
to the number of parameters that there are in the reading group in
    Customizing

    How to fix this error?

If an entry has been activated erroneously, a new entry has to be
created with a validity date and time (possibly within the new
transaction). The time should be set one second later than that of the
    incorrect set.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This can happen in various contexts, such as when dealing with default settings for user profiles, authorization profiles, or other configuration settings.

    Cause:

    1. Active Default Set: The default set you are trying to change or delete is currently active in the system. This means that it is being used by one or more users or processes.

    Solution:

    1. Identify Usage: Determine where the default set is being used. You can check user assignments, roles, or any other configurations that might be linked to the default set.
    2. Deactivate the Default Set: If possible, deactivate the default set before attempting to change or delete it. This may involve:
      • Unassigning users or roles that are currently using the default set.
      • Changing the configuration to point to a different default set.
    3. Wait for Inactive State: If the default set is tied to a process that cannot be interrupted, you may need to wait until it is no longer in use before making changes.
    4. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or help resources for specific instructions related to the type of default set you are working with.
    5. Contact SAP Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance.
