Message text: Other plants exist which maintain conversion group
You have not entered a conversion group for the material/plant
combination, but the material has been maintained at other plants with
a conversion group.
Warning message.
Maintain the material at all plants with the same IS-Oil data before
any stock is posted to the material.
Correctly maintain the material at all of the applicable plants. The
IS-Oil data has to be uniform for a material, regardless of plant. Do
this before stock is posted, otherwise the material could be damaged
and no longer usable. The conversion groups do not have to be the same,
but you have to enter a conversion group for this material/plant
combination.

O3193
- Other plants exist which maintain conversion group ?The SAP error message O3193, "Other plants exist which maintain conversion group," typically occurs when you are trying to delete or modify a conversion group in the SAP system, but there are other plants that are still using that conversion group. This is a common issue in SAP when dealing with material master data and conversion factors.
Cause:
The error arises because the conversion group is linked to multiple plants, and SAP enforces data integrity by preventing the deletion or modification of a conversion group that is still in use. This is to ensure that all related data remains consistent across the system.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can follow these steps:
Identify the Plants Using the Conversion Group:
- Use transaction code
OMN1
orOMN2
to check which plants are associated with the conversion group. This will help you identify where the conversion group is still in use.Review the Usage:
- Check the material master records for the plants that are using the conversion group. You can do this by using transaction code
MM03
to display the material master data for each plant.Remove or Change the Usage:
- If you need to delete or modify the conversion group, you will first need to remove it from all the plants that are using it. This may involve changing the material master data for those plants to use a different conversion group or removing the conversion group entirely.
Delete or Modify the Conversion Group:
- Once you have ensured that no plants are using the conversion group, you can proceed to delete or modify it using transaction code
OMN3
.Check for Dependencies:
- Ensure that there are no other dependencies or settings that might be preventing the change. This could include checking for any related configuration settings in the system.
