    You selected the two-step method for distributing quantities of a
    generic material. This method involves the total quantity of a generic
    material being distributed in two steps:

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    In the first step, the quantity is split up among the plants on the
    basis of either the:
    plant group (equal distribution)
    allocation rule or
    allocation strategy and plant group entered.
    In the second step, <DS:GLOS.352A8D36D3895CD5E10000009B38F974>value</>
    and <DS:GLOS.352A8D3BD3895CD5E10000009B38F974>quota scales</> are
    determined for the characteristics of the generic material. These are
    used for splitting the variant quantities among the individual plants.
    For the total quantity to be split up in the first step, you have to
    enter an allocation rule or a plant group (possibly in combination with
    an allocation strategy). You did not enter any plant or allocation
    strategy.
