What causes this issue?

The category of the <DS:GLOS.structured_material>structured material</>
has to be assigned to the <DS:GLOS.BOM_usage>BOM usage</> and to the
<DS:GLOS.item_category>item category</> of the BOM in Customizing for
the <LS>Material Master</> in <DS:SIMG.W_GE_0300>Structured material
maintenance</>. However, this assignment has not been fully maintained
in this client.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Take a look at the assignments in your delivery client and copy them to
your test client or production client. If they have not been fully
maintained in the delivery client either, contact the SAP hotline.
