Message text: Component assigned to activity with wrong reference point
Why is it relevant?
Reference points serve the assignment of BOM items to network
activities. The component demand (reservation) is assigned to a
different network activity than what is defined by the reference points.
Possible Reasons:
Production engineer manually assigned the component to an individually
selected network activity in BOM transfer (transaction CN33_N)
or
Reference point in network activity was changed after BOM transfer
or
Reference point in BOM item was changed after BOM transfer
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Fix:
Accept warning
or
Change reference point either in BOM item or network activity (app
?Manage Bill of Material? with item selected or transaction CJ20N with
network activity selected). Subsequently re-explode current BOM version
or
Assign component to a different network activity just by re-exploding
current BOM version
