  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The differences determined by the actual cost component split, and the
differences from the material ledger are not the same. This may have
occurred due to a program error.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    a) If time is critical for your posting, you can ignore this warning.
The differences are then split using the standard cost component split
for price of the material concerned.
You can also deactivate this warning user-specific, by choosing
,,System -> User Profile -> Own Data, going to the Parameter tab and
entering the value ADJUST for parameter CKMLCSS_ADJUST.
    b) If time is not critical to your posting, SAP recommends you to
    terminate the transaction.
In both cases you should create a CSS Message to SAP with the following
    entries:
    ,,Component:,,CO-PC-ACT
    ,,Priority:,,,,high
    ,,Short text:,,,,Error MLCCS 100,,
,,In the description, enter the transaction that lead to the error.
    ,,
You can permanently deactivate the message by maintaining an entry with
KKEY=MLCCS_100 and KDATA=N in table CKMLMVADMIN.
You can have the message always displayed as an error message (the
transaction cannot then be updated), by maintaining an entry with
KKEY=MLCCS_100 and KDATA=E in table CKMLMVADMIN.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message MLCCS100 - Actual Cost Component is inconsistent. See long text ?

The SAP error message MLCCS100, which states "Actual Cost Component is inconsistent," typically occurs in the context of Material Ledger and actual costing in SAP. This error indicates that there is a mismatch or inconsistency in the cost component structure for a material, which can prevent proper processing of actual costs.

    Causes:

    1. Inconsistent Cost Component Structure: The cost component structure defined in the system does not match the actual costs recorded for the material.
    2. Missing Cost Components: Some cost components may be missing or not properly defined in the configuration.
    3. Incorrect Configuration: The configuration settings for the Material Ledger or the cost component structure may not be set up correctly.
    4. Data Migration Issues: If data was migrated from another system or if there were changes in the cost structure, inconsistencies may arise.
    5. Changes in Costing Variants: If there have been changes to the costing variants or cost component structures after the actual costs were posted, this can lead to inconsistencies.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Cost Component Structure: Verify that the cost component structure for the material is correctly defined and matches the actual costs. You can do this by navigating to the relevant configuration settings in SAP.
    2. Review Configuration Settings: Ensure that the Material Ledger and cost component settings are correctly configured. This includes checking the settings in transaction code OML2 (for cost component structure) and OML3 (for Material Ledger).
    3. Reprocess Actual Costs: If the cost component structure has been corrected, you may need to reprocess the actual costs. This can be done using transaction code CKMLCP (for actual costing).
    4. Check for Missing Components: Ensure that all necessary cost components are included in the cost component structure. If any are missing, add them and reprocess the costs.
    5. Consult SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide guidance on resolving inconsistencies in actual costing.
    6. Data Consistency Check: Use transaction CKMLCP to perform a consistency check on the actual costing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
