    What causes this issue?

    For a production order, the 'Reference original batch' indicator was
    used to trigger determination of the original batches that can be
    inherited from the components of the production order. No suitable
    original batches were found.

    System Response

    No original batches can be inherited. Prerequisite for batch
    inheritance is that the production order contains components that are
    in turn assigned to an original batch by means of a procurement element
    (production order or purchase order).

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
