  • What causes this issue?

    On the <LS>Listing</> screen, differently maintained areas of validity
    can be determined only for generic materials or for reference
    distribution chains.

    System Response

    Generic material
    The system displays all variants whose listing data has been maintained
    differently from the generic material for the distribution chain
    entered.
    Reference distribution chain
    The system displays all distribution chains whose listing data has been
    maintained differently from the reference distribution chain.

    How to fix this error?

    You have the following options:
    Set the distribution chain chosen to the reference distribution chain
    (by leaving the <LS>Distribution chain</> field blank) and then choose
    <LS>Differently maintained areas of validity</>.
    Choose the area of validity <LS>Generic material</> and then choose
    <LS>Differently maintained areas of validity</>.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
