How To Fix L9503 - Value & not allowed for field MKPF-BFWMS

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: L9 - Function Modules

  • Message number: 503

  • Message text: Value & not allowed for field MKPF-BFWMS

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The field IMKPF-BFWMS is only advantageous for postings into a storage
location whose stock is managed in an external
<GL:warehouse_number>warehouse number</>. In this case, it is a
mandatory parameter of the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
Only the values "1" or "2" are allowed.
    " 1 " : Create <GL:delivery>delivery</>
    " 2 " : Change stock in <GL:Inventory_Management>Inventory
    Management</> (IM)
Before you set this parameter, consider carefully what you want to
achieve. The incorrect use of this parameter can lead to a discrepancy
    between the connected external
    <GL:Warehouse_Management_System>Warehouse Management System</> and IM.
If you set the parameter to "1", the system creates a delivery using
the function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT and sends it to the
external WMS. After the external system confirms that the delivery has
been received, the corresponding goods movement is automatically
    posted.
If you set the parameter to "2", the goods movement is posted and the
stock is changed accordingly. The connected external system is not
informed about this posting. In this case, you need to ensure that the
stock in both systems is synchronized yourself.
