Message text: Report &2 cannot be executed (variable deleted)
The global variable &V1& used in report &V2& was deleted from variable
table TKESV.
With the changes the affected reports will be adjusted as far as is
possible. However, such a serious change has occurred that it is
necessary to transfer the report into the report portfolio again.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
You should delete report &V1&. If you want to have a report in the
report portfolio again, which corresponds to the deleted one, transfer
it again into the report portfolio.
If this is too much effort as several reports from the report portfolio
are affected by the change to the database it is recommended that you
undo the changes.

- Report &2 cannot be executed (variable deleted) ?The SAP error message KY429, which states "Report &2 cannot be executed (variable deleted)," typically occurs in the context of SAP reporting, particularly when dealing with reports that utilize variables for selection criteria. This error indicates that a variable that the report relies on has been deleted or is no longer available in the system.
Cause:
- Deleted Variable: The most common cause is that a variable used in the report has been deleted from the system or is no longer defined in the relevant InfoObject or query.
- Changes in Data Source: If the underlying data source or InfoProvider has been modified, it may lead to the removal or alteration of variables.
- Transport Issues: If the report or its associated variables were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport process that led to the variable being missing.
- Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to access the variable, leading to the perception that it has been deleted.
Solution:
- Check Variable Definition: Go to the relevant transaction (e.g., RSA1 for InfoObjects or RSRT for queries) and check if the variable in question still exists. If it has been deleted, you may need to recreate it.
- Recreate the Variable: If the variable is indeed missing, you can recreate it in the appropriate InfoObject or query definition.
- Review Transport Logs: If the issue arose after a transport, review the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects were transported correctly.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user executing the report has the necessary authorizations to access the variable. This can be checked in transaction SU53 or by consulting with your security team.
- Consult Documentation: If the report is part of a standard SAP application, consult the SAP documentation or support notes for any known issues or updates related to the report.
