KY424
- Report &1 cannot be executed (key figure deleted) ?The SAP error message KY424 indicates that a report cannot be executed because a key figure has been deleted. This typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when a report or query references a key figure that no longer exists in the underlying data model.
Cause:
- Deleted Key Figure: The most common cause is that a key figure that was previously part of the report has been deleted from the InfoProvider (e.g., InfoCube, DataStore Object).
- Changes in Data Model: Changes in the data model, such as modifications to the InfoObject definitions or the structure of the InfoProvider, can lead to this error.
- Query Definition Issues: If the query definition references a key figure that has been removed or renamed, it will result in this error when attempting to execute the report.
Solution:
Check Query Definition:
- Open the query in the Query Designer.
- Verify if the key figure in question is still part of the query definition.
- If it is missing, you may need to either remove it from the query or replace it with an existing key figure.
Update the InfoProvider:
- If the key figure was deleted unintentionally, consider restoring it in the InfoProvider.
- If the key figure was intentionally deleted, ensure that all reports and queries referencing it are updated accordingly.
Rebuild the Query:
- If the query is complex and has many dependencies, it might be easier to rebuild the query from scratch, ensuring that only existing key figures are included.
Check for Transport Issues:
- If the deletion was part of a transport request, ensure that the transport was correctly executed and that all dependent objects are in sync.
Consult Documentation:
- Review any documentation or change logs related to the data model to understand why the key figure was deleted and if there are any recommended alternatives.
