in CO. This is not possible because no number range has been defined in
controlling area &V1& for transaction &V2&.

    System Response

The document cannot be posted without a document number.

    How to fix this error?

Transaction &V2& must be defined in controlling area &V1&. Check table
T022. Transaction &V2& should be defined in this table and a "X" set in
the field "CO doc." (CO documents).
Then start program RKTKA04C. You will see in the report log that an
entry for controlling area &V1& and transaction &V2& has been added.
Finally, maintain number ranges for controlling area &V1&. You must
assign &V2& to a group and define an internal number assignment range
    for this group.
