Message text: Cost center &1/&2 is not assigned to a business area at this time
A business area balance should be generated in company code &V4&.
However, no business area can be derived from cost center &V2&,
controlling area &V1&.
You must be able to derive the business area from the cost center at
latest for the posting that leads to the update of actual costs in CO
(for example, for customer orders and external orders, this would be
receipt of goods or invoices; for settlement rules, it would be the
settlement). Therefore, the system issues a message with a variable
message type.
If the message is a warning, remove the cause for the message, at the
latest before the posting of actual cost updating.
If the message is an error:
Assign cost center &V2& in controlling area &V1& to a business area.
Afterwards you must enter the document anew. It is possible to save the
incomplete document until that time using other system functions.
Check whether a business area balance is actually necessary for company
code &V4&. The document can be reworked and posted after any necessary
changes in the corresponding configuration (<DS:TRAN.OB65>Execute</>).
This message is sent as a warning in the standard system. You can make
the message an error message by changing the message type in
Customizing. Use the Implementation Guide under "Controlling: General"
and choose <DS:SIMG.SIMG_CFMENUORK3OBA5>Change message control</>. Enter
area KI and message number 174.
