- Value field & cannot be used as the tracing factor in actual cycles ?The SAP error message KF195 indicates that a specific value field cannot be used as a tracing factor in actual cycles. This typically occurs in the context of Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) or Cost Center Accounting (CCA) when you are trying to set up or execute a cycle that involves actual data.
Cause:
Inappropriate Value Field: The value field you are trying to use as a tracing factor may not be defined correctly or may not be suitable for actual cycles. This can happen if the value field is not set up to handle actual data or if it is not compatible with the type of cycle you are trying to execute.
Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the settings of the value field or the cycle itself. For example, the value field might not be marked as a valid tracing factor in the configuration settings.
Data Type Mismatch: The data type of the value field may not match the expected data type for tracing factors in actual cycles.
Solution:
Check Value Field Configuration: Go to the configuration settings for the value field in question. Ensure that it is set up correctly to be used as a tracing factor. You can do this by navigating to the relevant configuration path in SAP (e.g., SPRO -> Controlling -> Profitability Analysis -> Account-Based CO-PA -> Define Value Fields).
Review Cycle Configuration: Check the configuration of the actual cycle you are trying to execute. Ensure that the tracing factors are correctly defined and that the value field in question is included in the list of valid tracing factors.
Use Alternative Value Fields: If the value field cannot be used as a tracing factor, consider using an alternative value field that is compatible with the actual cycle.
Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidelines on configuring value fields and cycles in your version of SAP.
Testing: After making changes, test the cycle again to see if the error persists. If it does, further investigation may be needed.
