  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message KD125 - According to settlement profile &3, &1 is not planned for this sender ?

The SAP error message KD125 indicates that there is an issue with the settlement profile configuration in relation to the sender object (such as a cost center, internal order, or project) and the receiver object (such as a cost object or profitability segment). Specifically, the error states that the sender is not planned for the specified settlement profile.

    Cause:

    1. Settlement Profile Configuration: The settlement profile assigned to the sender object does not include the sender as a valid object for settlement. This can happen if the sender is not included in the planning or if the settlement profile is not correctly configured to handle the sender type.

    2. Sender Object Not Planned: The sender object (e.g., cost center, internal order) may not have any planned costs or revenues associated with it, which means it cannot be settled.

    3. Incorrect Assignment: The sender object may be incorrectly assigned to a settlement profile that does not support it.

    Solution:

    1. Check Settlement Profile: Review the settlement profile assigned to the sender object. Ensure that the sender is included in the profile and that it is configured to allow settlements for the type of sender you are working with.

    2. Review Planning Data: Ensure that the sender object has planned costs or revenues. If it does not, you may need to create a plan for the sender object.

    3. Adjust Sender Assignment: If the sender is incorrectly assigned to a settlement profile, reassign it to the correct profile that supports the sender type.

    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or configuration guides for settlement profiles to ensure that all settings are correct.

    5. Transaction Codes: Use transaction codes like OKB9 (for settlement profiles) and KP06 (for planning) to review and adjust the necessary settings.

    Related Information:

    • Settlement Profiles: These are configurations in SAP that define how costs are settled from one object to another. Each profile can have specific rules and settings that determine which objects can be settled.

    • Cost Object Types: Different types of cost objects (e.g., cost centers, internal orders) may have different requirements for planning and settlement.

    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address specific issues or bugs related to the KD125 error message.

    • Testing: After making changes, perform a test settlement to ensure that the error is resolved and that the settlement process works as expected.
