  • What causes this issue?

The system requires that the cost center/activity type or business
process be assigned to controlling area &v1&, but it was only able to
determine an assignment to controlling area &v2&.
This error message is issued in the following situation:
iPPE resources were created in iPPE and then assigned to a plant. The
system determines the associated controlling area from this plant and
the company code. This controlling area is now also used in the
function for assigning the iPPE resource to a Controlling object such
    as <DS:GLOS.3526B5D5AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>cost center</>/
    <DS:GLOS.35289F0F9C4A1941E000080009927D9B>activity type</> or
    <DS:GLOS.3526B66EAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>business process</>.
If the assignments of the plant, company code, and controlling area to
each other are now changed in Customizing, or if in iPPE the resource
is assigned to a plant from another controlling area, this will result
in irregularities in the organizational units (plant against
    <DS:GLOS.3526B5D5AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>cost center
    </>/<DS:GLOS.35289F0F9C4A1941E000080009927D9B>activity type</> or
