The SAP error message JITOUT809 indicates that the available quantity from stock determination is insufficient to fulfill a Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery requirement. This error typically arises in scenarios where materials are being managed under JIT processes, and the system is unable to find enough stock to meet the demand.

    Causes:

    1. Insufficient Stock: The most common cause is that the available stock for the material is less than the quantity required for the JIT delivery.
    2. Stock Determination Settings: The stock determination strategy may not be configured correctly, leading to incorrect stock availability calculations.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Stock Levels: Verify the current stock levels for the material in question. Use transaction codes like MMBE to check stock availability.
    2. Adjust Stock Levels: If stock is insufficient, consider adjusting stock levels by:
      • Creating a purchase order to procure more stock.
      • Transferring stock from another location if possible.
    3. Review Stock Determination Configuration: Check the stock determination strategy in the configuration settings to ensure it is set up correctly. This can be done in the IMG (Implementation Guide) under:
      • Logistics Execution > Shipping > Picking > Stock Determination.
    4. Check Reservations: Review any existing reservations or allocations that may be affecting stock availability. You can use transaction code MB22 to check and manage reservations.
