Message text: The date of the last goods movement was deleted or backdated
You have backdated or deleted an existing date for the last goods
movement.
As a result of this, inconsistencies can arise between the stock data of
the inventory management (IM) and the stock data of the serial numbers
(see also Note 670837).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
You should pay particular attention to this warning, if the stock
check is set to an error message in the relevant serial number profile.
Use the serial number history to check whether all the goods movements
that are after the date that you just defined were cancelled for this
serial number.

This error indicates that there is an inconsistency in the date of the last goods movement for a material, which can affect inventory valuation and reporting.
Cause:
- Backdating Transactions: If a goods movement (like a goods receipt or goods issue) is backdated to a date earlier than the last recorded goods movement, it can lead to this error.

Solution:
- Check Goods Movement History: Review the goods movement history for the material in question. You can use transaction codes like MB51 (Material Document List) to see the history of movements.
- Repost or Correct Movements: If a movement was backdated or deleted incorrectly, you may need to repost the goods movement with the correct date or restore the deleted movement if possible.
- Adjust Dates: If you find that a transaction was backdated, consider adjusting the date to ensure it is in line with the last goods movement.
- Consult with SAP Support: If the issue persists, it may be necessary to consult with SAP support or your internal SAP team to investigate further and resolve any underlying configuration issues.
