  • What causes this issue?

    Incorrect tax ID ? at least two digits appear more than once.
    The identification number (ID No.) consists of a sequence of eleven
    digits, where the eleventh digit is a check digit. When you look at the
    ID No. without the check digit, one of the ten digits always appears
    twice (obligatory digit repeat). The remaining eight digits each occur
    once. The first digit of the ID No. is never 0. For organizational
    reasons, the digits 1, 2, and 3 are also not assigned to the first
    position of the ID No. for a transitional period of at least 3 years.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
