What causes this issue?

The two specified paths (relative from $INFORMIXDIR) point to the same
raw device. In this situation you can easily overwrite existing chunks
and thereby destroy the database.

How to fix this error?

Delete redundant links if they are not already being used for existing
chunks (check using 'onstat -d'). If both links are already being used
contact the Hotline to have the situation checked.
